My family has been doing a small intimate Christmas dinner with you guys for years... Well, now, my friends and I do a Christmas dinner with you. We are all close enough that when we start craving your Mac n Cheese, we get going to Back Swamp, no matter what time of year!!! Thank you all at Mike's Farm for doing what you do!! Melinda, Surf City, NC December 31, 2006
We had a lovely time there this past Friday evening! The food was delicious, service was wonderful and the hayride through the light display was awesome! Thank you so much for all you do for the community ! My family and I can't wait to come back next year. It's worth the drive from Florida!! God bless you all! Cynthia, Ocala, Fl December 31, 2006
I had visited the farm before with my daughter's 1st grade class, but we decided to drive over and eat - oh my goodness, what a meal. The mac and cheese was to-die-for! While there, my mouth began to water for a 10-layer chocolate cake and, lo and behold, we found a way to get one in time for Christmas. What a great place for family fun! We will be going back every Christmas for a tree, the lights and dinner. The hospitality was wonderful. Jo Ann Norman, Emerald Isle, NC December 23, 2006
My husband and I took our 2yr old son to the pumpkin patch and he still talks about it months later!! We all enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the animals. The fudge was delicious. We are looking forward to going to the light show this year and I've been told I MUST get to the restaurant. Cant wait! Eric and April, Richlands, NC December 20, 2006
We have been going to Mike's Farm for the past 6 or 7 years. The light show was the best I have ever seen this year. GREAT JOB! The Kennedy's, Kinston, NC December 20, 2006
While on vacation visiting my son and daughter in Reedy Creek, my wife and I enjoyed eating an awesome meal in the "out-house"! Holy Cow we ate there 3 times in the week we were there! The macaroni & cheese is probably the best in the whole wide world! Robert & Renee Cassey, Surprise, Arizona December 17, 2006
First... the hospitality of everyone is beyond anything I have witness in any restaurant I have ever been in. Our waitress was fabulous, wish I could remember her name because she deserves this praise. Very friendly and polite and carried herself in a manner in which you could tell that she took pride in her job. BRAVO!!!!  Second... the food speaks for itself. amazing, delightful and down right delicious. It is just amazing the amount and quality of the food that is presented to you at the table. and just when you don't think you can squeeze in another bit....... the waitress ask "is everyone ready for dessert". WOW Third.... the trip into the gift shop and fudge factory. Again amazing, my mom and girl friend were like kids in a candy store!!! enough said there...and the Fourth..... the hayride and light show........ that was by far the most spectacular arrangement of lights I have ever seen. ya'll done a truly amazing job with that.  Wes Newby, Wilmington North Carolina December 17, 2006
We went to Mike's on December 15th and was so impressed with everything. We had our little 17 month old granddaughter Alyssa and when we went on the hayride she was spellbound. This was the best display of lights we have ever seen and we have been to Macadenville, Meadows and many more, but this is the best. So proud of the patriotic display and the 'real snow scene...and it's all right here in Duplin County...."I had no idea"! The family of Dennis & Jackie Stroud, Albertson, NC December 16, 2006
I am very impressed.  Worth the drive from Wilmington.  I think it won't be a one time visit God bless u . Bill Brown, Wilmington North Carolina December 16, 2006
My family and I visited the farm on Saturday. What a wonderful place. The food was good, and the light show was awesome! A new family tradition has been added to our family. Many thanks Melissa Brady Melissa Brady, Fayetteville N.C. December 12, 2006
Our family goes to Mike's Farm EVERY year!!! The atmosphere is awesome, the gift shop incredible, and so many DELICIOUS items to eat. We love Mike's Farm, it's a family tradition now. Waiting in line is worth it after seeing the spectacular lights. God Bless The USA...and God Bless Mike's Farm. See you guys NEXT year!!! Stephanie Hall, Garland, North Carolina December 11, 2006
We visited Mike's Farm on 12/9/2006. It was better than I had imagined. The food at the restaurant was terrific, and plenty of it. Gift stores were beautiful, bakery great. Then the hayride through the lights gives you a chance to remember and feel the excitement of the Christmas when you were young. It was a wonderful place to visit. We are going to make plans to take our 4 grandchildren to see the lights, they will love it. It's a must do for the Christmas season... Thank You Glenn and Nora Dove, Linda Walters, Bladenboro, N.C. December 11, 2006
Hey there ya'll just wanted to let you know ya'll doing a mighty fine job down there in the back swamp. Keep it up!!! See you next weekend. C. Hill, Potters Hill, N.C. December 7, 2006
Let me tell you, it was out of site. The food was so good it made my tongue about slap the top of my head off!! That is some good county cooking. The light show is will take out breath away!! Thanks for a great time we'll be back! Frank and Mae Coburn, Greenville, NC December 7, 2006
I visited your farm with a group of 12 and we had a wonderful time-the hayride through the light display was beautiful and the food at your restaurant was great. We had to wait a long time in line for hay ride tickets-but it was well worth the wait. Will go back again. Sandra Seagroves, Raleigh, NC December 5, 2006
I took my family there 2 yrs ago and it's been a "favorite" family tradition. My son says it's "the best food he's ever eaten". Love it - love it. Looking forward to this year and the hayride. Thanks for making this part of our family holiday. Kim Rogers, LaGrange, NC November 28, 2006
Our family and friends will be visiting the farm next week for the 3rd year in a row. My teenage children are excited and telling all their friends. It has always been a great experience. We recommend it to everyone we know. A. Burrows, Clinton, NC November 28, 2006
I really enjoy coming to your farm. I feel like a kid every time I go there. I love your farm. Sherry Williams, Jacksonville NC November 27, 2006
I have always heard you can't go back in time, however I felt I was at some of my favorite and greatest Christmas times as a child. This came to me as we were watching all the kids playing and the smells and sights of Christmas in the air. The food was great and the Hay ride was wonderful. Sitting around talking and shopping in the country store was also one of our favorites. Bert and Jodi Croom, Wilmington North Carolina November 25, 2006
Our whole great big family (about 30 of us) goes to Mike's Farm every Thanksgiving after our Thanksgiving Dinner. What wonderful family entertainment. We sing along Christmas songs on our hayride, the small children love it! And, that last display, that American Flag...you're going to cry so get ready! Thanks for making our Thanksgiving so nice in what is sometimes an ugly world! Wanda Durham/Sharon Phagan, Asheboro North Carolina November 17, 2006
WE HAVE BEEN DOING TOURS TO MIKE'S FARM SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THE STAFF TO BE DELIGHTFUL, THE FOOD GREAT, AND THE CHRISTMAS DISPLAY SPECTACULAR!! CHRISTMAS WOULD NOW BE COMPLETE WITHOUT MIKE'S FARM. RICH TOURS, WILMINGTON,NC November 7, 2006
We loved our first visit to Mikes Farm! It was allot of fun picking pumpkins in the patch! The kids had a blast!  The restaurant Was really good also!!! Nothing better then a southern home cooked meal!!! Beth Kuzan, Jacksonville, NC November 3, 2006
What a wonderful surprise on our recent trip to North Carolina. The visit to Mike's farm was the highlight of the trip. Everyone in the group was amazed at the wonderful hospitality and products that were available for sale. My only regret was not being able to take part in the meal, as we had already eaten. But next time we will not miss that opportunity! What a great place for families to visit. My wish is for something similar here in rural Minnesota. Kristine Basilici, Cloquet, Minnesota October 31, 2006
Well, where do I begin. We had moved away from the area for almost 5 years, but had to come home. Trust me when I say, there is NO place like home. One of the first things we had to do after unpacking was go to Mike's farm. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the restaurant, took a walk around the farm, and went home with a chocolate layer cake. Will be regulars AGAIN, and when I told all our friends in FL upon moving back, they were very jealous as there is truly NO hospitality like NC. Keep up the good work and God bless you all!!!!! The Keil's, Jacksonville , NC October 30, 2006
We went to eat at your restaurant and I must say I've never had any better. We also went on the spook trail. You do a lot for the community and give people the opportunity to have clean fun. See you at Christmas. David Jones, Kinston, N.C. October 29, 2006
We have been gone from the South for 36 years living in Rhode Island, we are now retired and have just moved back here in Aug. 2006. Your restaurant is wonderful the food & atmosphere reminded me of my childhood while living on a farm in Alabama. The wait staff was very friendly and service was great!  Thank you Ray & Wesley Burgess, Jacksonville, NC October 28, 2006
My wife and I went to Mike's Farm on Friday oct.27th with our daughters kindergarten class and had a super time! It was our 3rd trip and every time has been a blast. Our daughter Annabelle's favorite was Cowboy Earl. We will be back for the x mas lights tour. Thanks to Mike and everyone at the farm for a great time! Mike and Dani Davis, Hubert, N.C. October 28, 2006
My family and I traveled to Mike's tree farm this past Sunday. My daughter loves going on the hay rides, but it was raining. We waited 2 hours to eat and it was worth every minute of it. This was our 4th visit to the farm and restaurant. I look forward to visiting again closer to Christmas! April Parrish, La Grange NC October 24, 2006
My husband Clifton and I have been enjoying Mikes Farm with family and friends for some years now. The food is all wonderful, along with the hayrides at Fall and Christmas.  It's a great family place and we intend to continue our patronage and tell everyone how much we enjoy it. I really believe Clifton dreams about those wonderful ham and molasses biscuits. He says every single food item is so good. Thanks Mike!!! Teresa Rouse, Kinston, N.C. October 20, 2006
We have been coming to the farm since 1995, when it was only a tree farm, and the country store was very tiny.  I always bring family and friends who come visit me from Europe, and they truly experience true southern hospitality and good food.  Thank you Mike! Luciana Lyons, Jacksonville, NC October 18, 2006
We visited Mikes Farm this past Sunday for the first time. We had a wonderful meal and a great day of Pumpkin picking but the lines were looooong! We waited almost 2 hours for lunch and another hour to ride the hay wagon. Give yourself a lot of time when you visit. Overall it was still a great time and the kids loved it! Jennifer, Wilmington, NC October 18, 2006
My family and I came to Mike's Farm with some friends of ours for my birthday on October 8th. We all had a blast on the hayride and enjoying picking out pumpkins from the patch. Although we had been to Mike's Farm before. we had never eaten at the restaurant. Let me tell you, it was GREAT!!! I was very pleased with everything!! What a birthday present! Couldn't have been more perfect. We are all coming back after Thanksgiving with more family to pick out a tree and eat at the restaurant again. Jamie Wegforth, New Bern, NC October 15, 2006
We visited your farm last night with the families of 2nd LAR and we all had an enjoyable experience. Thank you for all of the fun activities and we will see you again soon! Sara Jensen, Jacksonville, NC October 8, 2006
We had some friends tell us about your farm and how much fun it was, so today we all got together and went and had a great time. We did the hayride and hotdog roast, saw the animals, Cowboy Earl and of course bought some of the best fudge!  We look forward to coming back for a visit at Christmas!  Anderson Family, Kinston, NC October 7, 2006
I visited your farm for the first time on Saturday to purchase a birthday cake for my daughter. What a beautiful place you have! I only wish my time I not been so limited. The cake was delicious and really pretty. We have found a new bakery for sure! I am looking forward to visiting when I have more time and bringing the rest of my family. Heather Norris, Jacksonville, North Carolina October 2, 2006
My wife and I went to Mike's Farm last week and had the time of our lives. The prices were so reasonable I would have to call it blasphemy. Petting the animals was exciting, and the noises they make, love 'em! The food was the best thing I've had in an hourglass of time. The chicken was literally alive with flavor. Fresh as can be. Thank you Mike's farm it was the most enjoyable part of my evening! Giovanni Ribisi, New York, NY September 21, 2006
My family and I visited Mike's Farm for the first time September 9, 2006. While visiting my son (a marine) and his family in Jacksonville this weekend, We picked up a brochure at the hotel and decided to visit the farm. Oh! WOW! what a wonderful experience. My grandson had a great time looking at the animals and the tractors. The food was wonderful and the ten layer chocolate cake was the best cake I've ever tasted. We can't wait to visit again. Debbie Angell, Boones Mill, VA September 11, 2006
Howdy guys: I was lucky enough to be a guest at your restaurant in March of this year. The food was great. The ham and biscuits let me remember my NC Heritage. The Chocolate Torte, or cake was awesome. The hospitality was wonderful. Thank you so much. Barbara Banks, Lubbock Texas September 7, 2006
We had our first visit to Mike's Farm Sat. Sept.2nd. Some family members suggested that we meet there for a small family get together.  The food was absolutely outstanding, and the wait staff was great. You can bet you will see us again. It was worth the 90 mile drive. Hayden Turner, Dunn, NC September 3, 2006
The Miller family continue to love Mike's Farm and all of the people that help out there! We visit regularly with our family, the ones that live close by and our family members from Illinois. One of our sons even got married at Mike's Farm and we still get a lot of mention of how beautiful of a wedding it was last October. Family food and good old fashion fun......Mike's Farm! See you on Sunday for dinner! James & Nancy Miller, Deep Run, NC August 19, 2006
What an experience! The food was absolutely wonderful. It was such a great place. I felt like I was having supper at my mama's house again and boy that 10 layer vanilla cake with that delicious chocolate icing, now that was worth the drive! I'll be back again and again. Just keep making that cake! BTW: I suppose you wouldn't share the recipe for the chocolate icing. I remember my granny long ago making her cake icing to that consistency! The whole experience took me back to the 'good ole days' when life was so much sweeter and kinder. Thank you! Taylor Ammons,

My family and I have lived in Jacksonville all our lives, and visted Mike's Farm on 08/11/06 to eat for the first time. I must say that it wa the best food I have had in a long time. It made my eye's tear as soon as the food as put in front of me and I took the first bite. The only thing missing, was seeing my Grandmother walk out of the kitchen. My Grandmother passed away in 2002, and Mike's Farm chicken is the closest thing to hers that there has ever been. Thank you Mike's Farm for bringing back the memory of my Grandma's home cooking..... Joey, Cristina and Bryce Milligan,

We have been blessed by going to Mike's Farm only once but it was enough that we know we'll be going many, many times. The gift shop is so well organized and is a treat within itself. Haven't had the opportunity to eat there yet but have been told it is extremely nice and most of all great food and service. Looking forward to joining you soon! Sharon Gore

We have visited mikes farm since 1997. We probably go about 3 times a year. We live about 45 minutes away. We enjoy it every time we go.  Everything is good. The desserts in the bakery, the dinner in the restaurant, you cant beat it anywhere else.  Their activities are great for adults and children. Bobbie Taylor, Kinston, NC February 23, 2006
Our Family thoroughly enjoys every visit to Mike's Farm! Its as close to Mama's cooking as you can get. The holiday season brings Christmas to life in every aspect. All of the Staff are very friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend Mike's to anyone from age 1 to 100 ! You will enjoy your visit! Gloria Morton, Jacksonville, NC January 28, 2006
I wanted to let you know that my family and I enjoy coming out to Mike's Farm. My In-laws have been out there with us twice when they have come to visit and this Christmas was a special time to share with them because they had not seen the lights before and they were very impressed with all of the displays. What made it so special this time was that my husband and their son was here for two weeks from Iraq. Cheryl Brossette, Jacksonville, NC January 12, 2006
It was my privilege, while visiting my daughter and her family in Richlands, NC, to thoroughly enjoy the 'light show' Dec.22. Singing along with the familiar songs, oohing and ahing as we rode along. Thank you for emphasizing the reason we celebrate-the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Folks in your area are fortunate to have a facility such as you provide. May the Lord bless you and keep you all safe in His arms. Kay Morrison, Kirklin, Indiana December 31, 2005
I just spent my 43rd birthday eating at Mike's Farm and riding the hayride. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Brought some friends and they had a great time too. I will be back next year with more people. Thanks for an awesome evening. Hope everyone has a very Blessed New Year! Melinda Memory, Whiteville, NC December 29, 2005
Our Youth Group has visited Mike's Farm for the past 4 years at Christmas.  Each year the teenagers ask to go back because they enjoy it so much.  The Staff at Mike's Farm does a wonderful job making the trip enjoyable and they seem to really enjoy their jobs.  Thank you so much for making our Christmas special each year.  It is also wonderful to see that you do honor the true meaning of CHRISTmas.  We hope to continue visiting Mike's Farm each year.  God Bless You!!!! Youth Group - St. Mary's FWB Church, Lucama, NC December 26, 2005
We went with our church group from Webb Chapel. I really don't know who enjoyed it the most the children or the grown ups. The hay ride puts the real joy of Christmas in your heart. The food was great!  Would like to do the hot dog roast next time.   Gracie Davis, Kinston,  NC December 25, 2005
BEAUTIFUL light show!!  Well worth the trip!!  Thank you. Lisa, Wilmington, NC December 23, 2005
I took my mother (85), wheelchair-bound sister, daughter, son, his friend and her 3 year old daughter for the hayride on 12/14/05. I just want to thank all the staff for being so friendly and helpful in getting my sister on and off the trailer for the ride. It is so nice to know that there are people who still care about each others' feelings. I was very pleased to see that the reason for the season was not forgotten and that our servicemen were also remembered. We have so much to be thankful for in this country. The scenes with the appropriate music was great and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you once again and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Lynne Lynne West, Kinston, NC December 15, 2005
Comments: We visited your farm tonight for the first time after reading about it in our local newspaper.  The seemingly endless drive was so very much worth it when we arrived. We had a great time and the kids want to bring their grandparents back for a visit before Christmas.  Thanks for a wonderful time and experience, but most of all, thanks for honoring our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at your farm. MERRY "CHRISTMAS !!!! Jeaneen Lucas, Wilson, NC December 11, 2005
We went to Mike's Farm 4 years ago for the first time. It has been a Christmas tradition for our family since then. Our son and family moved to Charleston, S.C. this summer and will not be able to come home for Christmas this year. The one thing he said he would miss the most is Mike's Farm at Christmas. Thank you for alot of "family time" we have had there. See you soon with the gang! Linda Fairchild, Harkers Island, N.C. December 9, 2005

We got married at Mike's Farm on October 1, 2005.  We had our wedding in the barn, it was everything I ever imagined it would be.  The staff at Mike's was very nice and did everything to make this day perfect for us.  Teresa was so nice to work with and she really wanted this day to be special for us. Thanks to Mike's Farm for a beautiful and most memorable wedding. Karen and David Tollefson, Mt. Olive, NC November 24, 2005
I have been to Mike's Farm several times for the Christmas hayride and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time.  I feel like a child again when I see all the Christmas displays lit up.  It is so exciting to hear children as well as adults "oohing and ahhing".  I especially enjoy the soldier as he walks along to the nativity scene.  My husband served in Vietnam and is very touching.  We are planning a trip again this year and we plan to enjoy a meal in the restaurant.  Mary, Bladenboro, NC November 22, 2005
We have been to Mike's Farm several times and we enjoyed every trip. Thank you so much, for providing such an enjoyable place and especially thank you for the "Happy Birthday Jesus" lighting display. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!! Carolyn Williams, Wilmington, NC 28403 November 16, 2005

We had our business Christmas Party there, it was a simple relaxing evening. We will be BACK!!!!! COWART REINKE Wedding, Jacksonville, NC  November 15, 2005
This soccer season we decided to have our end of the season party at the farm. I didn't know what to expect since I've never been there. It was great. We took a hayride around the farm and then we were dropped off at a camp fire where the kids roasted their own hotdogs and marshmallows. We had such an incredible time. Thank you and we will see you next season! U-7 Summersill Soccer Hotshots, Jacksonville, NC November 9, 2005
Mike's Farm is the best place to go for any occasion! If you want to get spooked on the Halloween hayride, relax and get into the holiday spirit while watching the light show, bringing the younger ones on an Easter egg hunt, feeding the animals, or just enjoying some great home cooking! There is no place better! Sarah H. Richlands, N.C. November 8, 2005
I have lived here all my life and just started visiting the farm a couple of years ago. I absolutely love it and have gotten my friends and family hooked as well. We did the Christmas hayride last year and it really puts me in the spirit and is absolutely beautiful. About 8 of us just did the Haunted hayride on Friday and I had so much fun, I am so easy to scare and this was great we had a lot of fun. I always look forward to coming back during the holidays or anytime just to eat the wonderful food. Jamie Wagoner, Sneads Ferry, NC October 31, 2005
God Bless Mike's Farm.  This place holds many wonderful memories, for many people, for many reasons.  For our family, it is a place to come together and give thanks for the Blessings in our life.  We all pick a day before CHRISTMAS and gather together for an AWESOME meal, then we go outside and pick out Mama's tree, and finish the night off with the Christmas light Hayride.  We have done this for 2 years now.  Thank you Mike's Farm, for starting a Family tradition in our lives we hope will continue for many BLESSED years! The Kevin H. Smith Family, Beulaville, N.C. October 31, 2005
My family and I have been here since June 2005 and we have heard a lot of stories about the farm, we decided to make a day of it when my husband returned from Iraq. We totally loved it, everything from the scenery to the workers were an exception. Our children are 14,10 and 4 and they enjoyed everything about it. We plan on coming back at Christmas time for the events then. This is a great place. Dani  Fubero, Carencro LA October 29, 2005
My mom and I took my kids there years back before she passed away. My kids are now 18 and 22 years old, but we started a tradition that has been going on since then.  In fact last year on my daughters 21st birthday she wanted to go to Mike's Farm.  We had a hotdog roast and did the light show  Her aunts, uncles cousins, fiancé and his family and a few close friends went (about 30 of us).  We are going this year for the haunted hay ride as well as back as Christmas.  This place holds a lot of good memories of my mom and i will always have a special place for it in my heart.  See Ya Soon! Michelle Smith, Morehead City   NC October 27, 2005
Our family moved here 2 years ago (Military) and everyone has been telling us about your place the minute we got here. However, with busy work schedules and juggling 3 kids we never seemed to find the time. We always had other places to go when we got those only 2 weekends off every month. But now my husband is deployed to Iraq and the key volunteers made our visit to your farm finally happen. Us wives and our children had the best day with the hayride, the campfire and the pumpkin patch. My 2 young boys had the best time (my 13 year old daughter will always prefer the mall - sorry). I cannot wait to come back so we can see everything. I'm looking forward to the upcoming events and have already planned on bringing the out-of-town family there for the holiday season. Can't wait to see the lights! Until then we will prepare for this weekends Halloween carnival and haunted hayride. See ya then! Jo Anne, Brittney, Trey and Cameron, Jacksonville, NC October 24, 2005
School let out early today so my daughter, grandchildren, brother and little neice went to let the kids pick out their pumpkins....we only have one regret....time went by too fast. Hope to get to go again soon when I have more time to look around, especially in the Christmas shop. I hadn't heard of MIKE'S FARM until my brother was telling us about it earlier this week....I'll be telling everyone I know. LOVE YOUR PLACE!!!!    ''Ping''  Vanderburg, Goldsboro, NC October 19, 2005
My family and I first came to Mike's farm in 1996 after moving to NC.  My brother, my sister, and I absolutely loved coming there during the holiday season. Since then, my parents have gotten divorced and we have not been back to Mike's farm since 2002. Some of the best memories I have from my parents being together were taking trips to the farm for Christmas. I am a senior in college now and I plan to take my brother and sister there this Thanksgiving to pick out a tree, drink apple cider, and listen to Christmas music just like old times.  You guys are great, thank you for the memories!  Nicole, Jacksonville, NC October 17, 2005
Mike's Farm is a wonderful place to have a great time with your family and friends. The food is great!  I felt like a little pig when I left there.  See you soon. Cindy Konig, Goldsboro, NC October 15, 2005
We lived (as a married couple) in Jacksonville from January 2001-November 2002.  My husband was in the navy for 3 years before that.  We found this place with our friends.  We loved it and since moving home, we've missed it terribly. Nicole Breeding, Paris, TN October 8, 2005
I have lived in Jacksonville for 23 years (came here through the Navy).  My children have been coming to Mike's farm on field trips for years and have been trying to get me to visit for many years.  They have both graduated from high school now and finally talked me into coming for dinner this past Saturday.  The farm is beautiful and the dinner was just awesome!  I had no idea you had a bakery (I've been complaining for years about Jacksonville not having any "real" bakeries) and your Yankee candle selection is phenomenal.  Thanks so much and keep up the good work!  I'll be back with lots of friends and family... I just can't believe it took me so long to find a little slice of heaven just around the corner. Susan Morrison, Jacksonville, NC 14 Sep 2005
In the mid-1990's, I worked with NCDA and Jeff Morton.  He and I visited your facilities several times between 1994 and 1996. For the most part, Mike's dream was still under development the last we spoke, in late 1996. This past weekend, my wife and I drove down from Raleigh, via Kinston.  As part of an extended afternoon drive, we headed towards Jacksonville.  As we left 17, I mentioned your place, retelling all I could remember about your plans. We decided to try and find Mike's Farm.  Eventually we did. Not knowing what to expect, we were both surprised and pleased to discover what a terrific operation you've put together over the years. And yes, we bought plenty of cookies and fudge, and plan to return for dinner this fall. Good to see you living your dream. Congratulations. Bob and Nancy King, Raleigh NC 29 Aug 2005
Last week we were staying at Topsail Island for the week and heard about Mikes Farm.  We decided to go there Friday night August 12th for dinner.  We really had a great time and the food was very very good.  You really have a beautiful place.  In Sept. I'm going to Topsail again with some girlfriends of mine, I told them about your place and they want to come.  See ya soon. Trent & Kathy Kreitler, Greensboro NC 18 Aug 2005
Mike's Farm was the location of my sons wedding.  I can truly say that Mike's Farm went beyond their call of duty to ensure that the wedding was beautiful and care free.  Hats off to the host and hostess of Mike's Farm.  I will highly recommend this location for any special event!  Look forward to the next visit.  Thanks again. A visit to Mike's Farm is a real treat. I highly recommend it. I just returned from my annual family reunion and a trip to Mike's Farm has become a part of that weekend.  I grew up a few miles down the road from Mike's and spent many nights at his parent's home when his sister and I were in high school.  After all these years it is so nice to come "home" and see that the "farm" is going strong. Rosalyn Williams Baggett,  Cumberland City, Tennessee

We visited on June 25, 2005, and were very pleased with the food, service, and hospitality. We also enjoyed the gift and fudge shop. The entire Farm was breath taking. We plan to return this fall and Christmas season. John and Lisa Royall, Hays, NC 28 June 2005
My brother-in-law and sister-in-law treated us to dinner at Mike's on April 1 of this year, when my husband and I were visiting. We LOVED everything about Mike's: The wonderful people who work there, the amazing food, and lovely gifts in the gift shop. Whenever we are in Jacksonville, we will head for Mike's!! Carol LaFleur,

Me and my family have been to Mike's Farm 3 or 4 times and we love it. Not only the food is good but we just love your atmosphere. The atmosphere that your farm provides goes along with the atmosphere that I grew up in, and there is nothing better than gathering around an old family table and diggin in some good 'ole country cookin.  Improvement: I personally think that Mike's Farm couldn't get no better than it already is. Cameron Barrow, Snow Hill, NC

My children are now 9 and 12 years old. My first visit to Mikes Farm was when my 12 year old was 4 and we took a class field trip with the preschool. We love coming every year and enjoy everything that you have to offer. Now I must come and try some of your fudge. We will be seeing you on mothers day... Bobbie Jo Taylor, Kinston, NC

Hello, I always look forward to every upcoming event at your farm.  My kids have enjoyed every time we have went.  My husband is active duty military and when he is gone I look for special things to do with my kids to help the time go by faster.  Mike's farm is the first place I call for special events.  My kids love being outside and the activities that you guys coordinate.  But what I love about Mike's Farm is the good quality family fun and the service.  I am also proud to say that they have donated generously to our schools on based and for that we say Thank you Mike's Farm!!!!!! Keep up the great work. Lea-Ann Collins, Jacksonville, NC 3 Mar 2005
Hi, I can remember visiting when there was just a gift store! I am proud to say we are regulars there and I tell anyone who will listen to one of Jacksonville's Best Kept secrets!  From Christmas Trees to luncheons there with the New River SNCO Wives' Club to just a walk with the Goodnight children visitin' the farm animals; it is ALL GOOD at the Farm!  We will continue to frequent there and tell all who are hungry about the down home service, fried chicken, the mac-n-cheese, the included desserts and drinks.
It has that welcome-home warm and fuzzy eat-til-you-pop quality of a family reunion without the dishes to do afterward!  I do want to thank all of those responsible for keeping the food hot and the dishes clean.  Ya'll make it worthwhile every time!  The Goodnight Family  M & J, w/ A,S,J&M

My wife and sister-in-law and myself enjoyed ourselves at Mike's Farm on Friday night.  I didn't want to "hog" your guestbook as I had made a prior entry in January 2003.  Instead of being a hog, I made an entry in my blog.  It's at http://www.ernwahr.blog.com.  Thanks Again, Ernest Wahrburg   Ernest Wahrburg, Richlands, N.C. 16 Jan 2005
We have to Mike's Farm many times and every time it is GREAT!  Tonight was no exception.  The food is delicious in the restaurant and the service is  top notch.  The gift shop is awesome.  Tonight, we reserved the banquet room for our son who is getting married there in May.  The banquet room is absolutely beautiful.  Don and Jane Horne, Richlands, NC 7 Jan 2005
My church group has visited Mike's Farm for the past 4 years.  We absolutely love the hayride and the baked goods.  This past year, we finally were able to eat at the restaurant, which was delicious.  The macaroni and cheese was the best food I've ever had. p.s. I'd love to have the recipe!
Emily Canady, Kinston, NC 7 Jan 2005
My family visited your farm on the 11th.  We went on the hayride which we  really enjoyed allot.  It really got you in the Christmas spirit.  We never did get the chance to eat, but we will make it back to do that as well.  Merry Christmas to all of you. Wayne Barfield, Lucama, NC 15 Dec 2004
Some friends and I went to the light show hayride and had dinner on Dec. 12 and it was amazing. I haven't been out that way in about ten years and everything has gotten so much bigger. It almost seemed like we were at the wrong place because it wasn't like i remembered. Everything was wonderful. I know we'll be back soon. Ashley Jones,  Maysville N.C.

This was our first visit to Mike's Farm together. The food was delicious and the hay ride with the Christmas carols, lights and SNOW definitely put us in the joyous spirit of Christmas. We plan to make visiting Mike's Farm part of our family tradition. Thanks for making our holiday season an unforgettable one! Debbie and Scott Mann, Autryville, NC 13 Dec 2004

We visited the farm for a wedding in May 2004. It was pouring rain, and still the most beautiful wedding we've seen!  The staff at Mike's were so helpful, and the wedding chapel was gorgeous. We look forward to Christmas tree shopping at Mike's this holiday season!

Eason Family, Fayetteville, NC 8 Dec 2004

It was truly a great experience.  Especially to sing on stage with Cowboy Earl.  I thank you Mike and all your family and staff.  We always make it a yearly tradition to come and see you.  The twins really love all the lights. Furthermore, it is great to see how you keep the meaning and spirit of Christmas.  Thanks

You will have the time of your life.  If just takes you back to a time of unrushed pleasures.  The children will love the animals and authencity of the farm.  The smells and atmosphere are a treat all in themselves.  We try to go once every few months just to see what has been added to the gift shop and the farm.  THE CHRISTMAS HAYRIDE IS THE BEST!!!! We could go on and on but....

Kim and Angie Howard, Kinston NC 1 Dec 2004

I was invited to Mike's Farm last Dec for the first time and did not know really what to expect. Boy what a great time we had!  The wagon ride and Christmas decorations were just great. The food was great and all employees were just outstanding. Can't wait to come back!

Kim, Morehead City, NC 1 Dec 2004

My boyfriend is stationed in Camp Geiger for School of Infantry training.  I drove down from PA to spend Thanksgiving with him.  We didn't have much to do, but we went on your Christmas light hay ride and had a wonderful time.  It was so fun we came back the next night for dinner, which was delicious. Just wanted to let you know that your place is wonderful and we enjoyed it very much!!

Rachel Kupp,  Harrisburg, PA 29 Nov 2004

This afternoon will mark my second visit to Mikes Farm, and I can't hardly wait. The first visit to the farm took me back years, to visits to my grandfathers farm. You really have something special in the farm. It captures the magic of better times and provides the warmth and welcome that is becoming harder to find anywhere these days.

Michael Nash, Morehead City, NC 26 Nov 2004

My family brought my father, Lomax McClain, to Mike's Farm for his 79th birthday back on June 13. My dad was killed in a car accident on August 16. We will always cherish the great memory of that last birthday spent  eating good food and swapping stories about growing up with Daddy.

Bryana Locklear, Jacksonville, NC 29 Oct 2004

My family and I were at the farm this past Sunday Oct.24th. We had never had the opportunity to eat there but since my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters were leaving for Japan for 3 years we decided it would be a nice way to spend time together before they shipped out. The food was fantastic, the employees are so kind and helpful. I had wanted to buy a grapevine wreath that was in the restaurant, I was told nothing in the restaurant was for sale but that the person that makes the wreaths would make me one just like it. I ended up buying two wreaths while I was there and they are beautiful. We went on the pumpkin patch hayride and the kids had a great time picking out pumpkins. Thank you so much for a wonderful time. We're actually coming back with friends to go on the haunted hayride and will certainly come back for the festival of lights which is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Marla Hartley, Havelock, N C 28 Oct 2004

My wife and I have been coming out to your Halloween Hay Ride and Christmas Light Show for two years now. We also have had the privilege of dining with you on numerous occasions. We truly enjoy ourselves each time we're out. We look forward to many more years of enjoyment with you. May God Bless You and Yours!!!

My husband's family was at Mike's Farm on Sunday, October 10 for his mother's 78th birthday.    There was about 20 of us there for her birthday.   The food is delicious.   You have the best coconut cake I have ever eaten.    Mike's Farm is a great place for the entire family.    My two great nieces were there and they are such a pleasure to be around.   They get so excited on the hayrides.   I enjoy your farm, it's absolutely beautiful.   Thanks for sharing it with everyone!

Gail Stilley, Trenton, NC 12 Oct 2004

This is one of the few FAMILY places left and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. This is a great place to take your children and not have to worry about what they might see. Keep up the good work and we will be back (hope to have a church Christmas party). Thanks a lot!

Marty & Linda Evans, Wilmington, NC 10 Oct 2004

I am visiting my daughter in Jacksonville, NC this week and what a thrill it was to visit Mike's Farm. I am sad that I will not be here for Halloween and all the festivities-I also hear that the food is great. On my next visit to my daughter's I will certainly put Mike's Farm top on my list to return to.

Susan Johnson, Rehoboth, Mass 6 Oct 2004

My husband and I just visited Mike's Farm this past weekend for the 1st time. We loved it and will definitely be back. It was everything we had heard about and more!!!

My family and I have visited Mike's Farm for nearly every event and we loved them all.  We go to see the Christmas light show each year and I always see something that I missed the last time.  You all do a great job and it's nice to have someplace that the whole family enjoys.  Keep up the good work!!!

Laura Beth Jones, Burgaw, NC 28 Sep 2004

My family and I left Onslow County three years ago to be stationed in Hawaii.  The one thing we agree on is that we miss Mike's Farm in the fall so that we could go on the hayride and pick out our pumpkins.  We will be moving back to the east coast this winter and can't wait to come and visit the farm and the changes you have gone through.  Thank you for wonderful memories.  We highly recommend anyone we know who is moving to Jacksonville to go see you guys.

Irene Hutson, Kailua, Hawaii 26 Sep 2004

My husband and I were just down there this past Saturday the 18th September with our daughter Teri.  Teri lives in Goldsboro and has visited your farm several times.  The food and atmosphere is wonderful and we really enjoyed ourselves.  Teri wants to have her wedding vows renewed there and my husband and I would really like to redo our vows at our next year 15th anniversary.  You have such a lovely place and everyone is so friendly and helpful.  Nothing like good old down home country cooking.  Keep up the great work and we will see you again real soon.

We came, we saw, and we shall return many times.  It's a lovely place, wonderful food, exciting to walk on the large farm and let the memories of childhood living on a farm engulf you.  Thank you so much for sharing with those of us that have gone their way to other ways of living and have only memories of wonderful days on the farm to look back on.

Our employee group booked the Christmas party with you. The meal was superb. But what a treat was in store when we saw the lights. It was a delightful display and a reminder of our love for Christ and country. Thanks for a wonderful Christmas Present.

Connie Weeks, Clinton, NC 19 Dec 2003

Last night a group of more than 30 employees from Premium Standard Farms went to Mike’s Farm to celebrate the holidays. I have heard nothing but wonderful comments all day.  I was raised on a tobacco farm and can tell you that the country cooking was excellent: especially the ham biscuits.  It was so nostalgic to sit next to the old tobacco barn shelter - the smokehouse and chicken coop. The old Farmall tractor was like one we used to haul tobacco to the barns.  We had no idea that the light show would be so dramatic and moving.  Mike’s Farm is our kind of place and I can tell you that we will definitely be back.  Great job!

Leonard Smith,  Clinton, NC 18 Dec 2003
About 2 weeks ago, myself and 11 of my friends decided to ride our motorcycles up to the farm and eat. The weather was perfect,  the food
was delicious, and the fellowship that we shared was excellent.  The only
thing that I regret was that my wife was not with me to enjoy the food.  Now
I have a reason to go back, don't I!  A few of us have already decided to
make another trip to the farm during the holidays, bring our wives, eat, and
go on the hay ride...  Can't wait - See you soon!

Thank you Mike’s Farm for a wonderful place to get away from the every day hustle and bustle of the world today.   It is so nice to “get back to the roots” at a place that reminds us of home.  Your food, country store and hay ride are a special treat that my children, wife and I enjoy very much.  Rest assured Mike’s Farm that we will be coming back for that family atmosphere as often as we can.

What a wonderful treat and absolutely delicious food!  Our family had a great afternoon and can’t wait to go back for Christmas!  Thanks to all the hardworking people at Mike’s who make it happen!  It’s a real treat for our kids Reggie & Susie Susie Styron, Morehead City, NC 13 Oct 2003
I just love Mikes farm. I used to live in Jacksonville, and my toddler son and I would go out to the farm have a picnic, in the fall we'd pick pumpkins and go on the hay rides. And on the weekends my husband would go with us. It's a fabulous environment to relax and spend time as a family. And know as fall is coming I'm missing it very much, I hope we'll be back sometime this fall for a vacation and we'll definitely be coming by the farm. Jessica Mashal, Saint Charles IL 4 Sept 2003

Thank you for such a wonderful place.  During my husband’s deployment, we have visited several times. My daughter and I picked out our pumpkins and Christmas Tree with you.  It was hard not having Daddy with us, but she always knew it would be a fun day.  The restaurant is amazing.  I took a friend from out of state and she was just in love with the whole place.  Thanks for keeping a place where you can still have family fun.

We had Shelby make our wedding cake.  We took in a picture from a magazine that we liked and she made it look identical.  Her price was very reasonable and she arranged it picture perfectly.  It tasted scrumptious too!!  We can hardly wait for a special occasion for her to make another one. Marie & Dustin Mobley, Fuquay, NC 15 Feb 2003
We are addicted to your restaurant.  The food is excellent and the macaroni is to die for. Thank you! Al and Sonia Torres, Jacksonville, NC 10 Feb 2003
My wife and I & our in-laws and friends have been enjoying Mike's Farm
regularly since discovering it about a year ago.  The unlimited refills on drinks, meats, vegetables and desserts makes a meal at Mike's a fantastic value for the money.  The delicious food is well complemented by the friendly service.  All of that in such a relaxing atmosphere where you can pet and feed the animals & listen to live music or just take a stroll.  Mike's Farm is far more than a restaurant!! It's an experience!
